History

Embedded Labs was founded in 2002 to provide electronic hardware and embedded software development services to the Industrial Automation, Medical Device and Automotive vertical markets.

In early 2009 we transitioned the business away from general purpose contract development and developed the world’s only OPC-UA Device Server Software Development Kit that allows OEMs to incorporate an OPC-UA Server into a sub $5 microcontroller.

Today we license a number of embedded OPC-UA Software Development Kits and provide strategic consulting and product development and integration support to SDK licensees.

Embedded Labs is a corporate member of the OPC Foundation and is represented on the OPC Foundation Technical Advisory Council and Compliance Working Group. Embedded Labs is based in Waterford, Ireland.
